VIP Lounge Review - Cabo San Lucas Airport - 4/1/18
If you’ve ever been through the Cabo airport on a weekend, you know exactly how crazy it can get. This is one of those places that really highlights the value of the Priority Pass that comes with the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the American Express Platinum cards. As usual, the terminal was ridiculously busy. Think 35 people in line at Starbucks and 20 at Subway, etc. Luckily the VIP Lounge is very easy to find. Once you clear security and walk into the terminal, look straight ahead and you see this giant welcoming sign!
I’ve been stuck in the states for a while and the last international lounge I went to was in Jamaica. That colored my expectations somewhat so I was surprised at the quality here. The decor, furniture and size was very nice. They took a cue from the Centurion Lounges on their indoor sign as you can see. Despite being busy, there were plenty of open seats upstairs.
Usually the expectation is for the lounges to be pretty crowded after the Reserve crowd started using the Priority Pass benefit, but we had the entire quiet room to ourselves for most of the time we were there.
They had top shelf 1800 Reposado Tequila if your liver can still handle it after a Cabo weekend. Their food wasn’t anything to write home about, but that’s not something I expect. They had plenty of Topo Chico and that’s good enough for me!
Finally, their bathrooms were surprisingly nice as well with private stalls and plenty with no lines. There was a shower tucked away in the back of the quiet room, but it seemed to be in disrepair. Not a big deal for me. I’ll go ahead and say I was satisfied here.
I know it’s a quick and dirty review, but it’ll get the job done. I’ll work on this whole taking pictures thing... At least you know what to expect!
